Belle Chasse Bridge & Tunnel Project: Extension of Road Closures

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Team announces the extension of short-term intermittent lane closures through Friday, August 25, 2023. These lane closures will affect southbound and northbound traffic on LA 23 between Dale Avenue and Engineers Rd. There will be additional short-term intermittent closures affecting northbound and southbound traffic on LA 23 between the Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel and Barriere Rd.
The lane closures will take place from 9:00AM to 3:00PM and 7:30PM to 5:00AM Monday through Friday, and from 7:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturdays.
The work is in preparation for the new Belle Chasse Bridge.
