US 165 Lane Closures and Lane Shift – Ouachita Parish H.007289

The City of Monroe and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning 8:00 PM on Monday, August 7, 2023, intermittent and alternating lane closures will begin on US 165 Northbound between Old Sterlington Road and West Elmwood Drive. All lane closures will be performed between the hours of 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM. These lane closures are required to install the necessary striping for a lane shift at this location. Please note that the outside shoulder will be closed for the duration of the work to be completed.
Restrictions: Roadway will be narrowed to 21’ total width (2 – 10.5’-wide lanes).
Detour: No detour route has been established.

The City of Monroe and DOTD reminds motorists that it is unsafe and unlawful to drive onto a closed road past a “road closed” barricade at any time for any reason.
