DOTD announces project to improve turn lanes on LA 523 (Line Ave) at Ashley Ridge in Shreveport
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a project to improve safety and traffic flow by realigning the existing left turn lanes on LA 523 (Line Avenue) at the intersection of Ashley Ridge Blvd. in Shreveport, Caddo Parish.
Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 27, 2023 with intermittent lane closures on LA 523 south of LA 3132.
The $645,854 project also involves extending the length of the left turn lane onto LA 3132 westbound from LA 523 in order to allow for additional vehicle storage capacity, to alleviate congestion on LA 523, particularly during peak times.
Motorists should be aware that lane closures will shift as the project progresses, and to expect possible delays during peak travel times.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in Fall 2023, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
