LA 585 has been reopened to traffic
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, July, 17, 2023, LA 585 will be closed to thru traffic.
This bridge is located approximately 1.8 miles west of its intersection with US 65, east of Kilbourne, in East Carroll Parish.
This bridge closure is necessary to allow for routine bridge maintenance.
The LA 585 bridge closure is anticipated to last 2 weeks, and should be reopened Friday, July 28, 2023.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
PERMIT/DETOUR:
The detour route will be LA 585, LA 17, LA 2 and US 65.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
