UPDATE: This closure has been canceled.
Cameron Parish -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be an eastbound lane closure on LA 82 at the Grand Chenier Bridge, starting Monday, June 26, 2023, through Friday, June 30, 2023.
The closure will be as follows:
24-HOUR CLOSURE:
LA 82 EB will be closed both day and night, starting at 6:30 a.m. Monday, June 26, and ending at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 28.
DAILY CLOSURE:
LA 82 EB will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily on Thursday, June 29 and Friday, June 30.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform bridge repairs. There is an 11-foot width restriction. Flagmen will maintain traffic during the closures.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
