**UPDATE**
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that the bridge construction work on Bethel Road in Deville is complete and now open to the traveling public. No further impact to traffic is anticipated in association with this project.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Monday, June 19, 2023 at 7:00 am, weather permitting, Bethel Road (Bridge) work will begin. Bethel Road will be closed ¼ of a mile from the intersection of Hwy 1207. This work is needed to replace an existing timber bridge with a new concrete slab span bridge.
This is an off system bridge project for the Rapides Parish Highway Department that was awarded to Merrick Construction, LLC in the amount of $1,189,285.30. This work is expected to last approximately 4 months.

There are no detours at this time.
