GeauxPass Improvements Announcement

New Orleans -The Louisiana Department of Transportation announces upcoming improvements to the GeauxPass program to enhance accessibility and efficiency for residents and visitors. The upgrades and enhancements include improvements to the GeauxPass website, more transparent invoices, and the reduction of vehicle classification from eight "axle type" categories to four "class" type categories.
The improvements are being rolled out to simplify the toll process instead of increasing revenue, meaning there is no intended revenue increase with the changes.
Existing GeauxPass accounts and tags will still be valid. Minor steps may be required upon logging in after the updates are complete.
The GeauxPass program is the automatic cashless tolling system for users of the LA 1 elevated roadway from the Leeville Bridge to Port Fourchon. Cameras detect either a GeauxPass toll tag or the vehicle's license plate and bill the driver.
