UPDATE - INTERMITTENT RAMP CLOSURES: I-49 southbound at Kings Hwy, Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 4/28/2023): These intermittent ramp closures have been rescheduled to take place on Friday, May 5, 2023.

(Original notification 4/27/2023):
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, the I-49 southbound off-ramp to Kings Highway in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be closed intermittently.
These intermittent ramp closures will take place in 30-minute increments from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and are necessary to allow Kansas City Southern railroad to perform maintenance work.
Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
