The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 474, Sabine Parish, is now OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC.

LA 474; Sabine Parish
Mile Post 7.760; Control Section 120-01
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 474, Sabine Parish, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track. The work is being done at Milepost 7.760 and is on Control Section 120-01. The closure will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 8:00 AM with a reopening to traffic at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The closure is for Kansas City Southern Railroad to replace the track panel and the crossing surface.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 474 to US 171 to LA 6 to LA 476 to LA 191 to LA 474. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
