UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 132 bridge over Boeuf River, Richland Parish
(UPDATE 3/25/2025): DOTD advises motorists that the LA 132 bridge over Boeuf River near Buckner in Richland Parish has been REOPENED to traffic following a full replacement. We'd like to thank the community for their patience while this project was underway.

(UPDATE 5/31/2023): DOTD advises motorists that the detour for the LA 132 bridge over Boeuf River will be modified for approximately 21 days. The current detour route through LA 15 will be closed to traffic while bridge construction ties in a new alignment. Detour signage will be in place. Traffic will be detoured via LA 133, I-20, US 425 and LA 132.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a project to remove and replace the LA 132 bridge over the Boeuf River near Buckner in Richland Parish.
The $6.4 million project is set to begin on Wednesday April 12, 2023 with a closure of the bridge, which is located immediately west of the intersection with LA 561.
The project includes the removal and replacement of the original bridge – built in 1966 – with a new concrete structure, pavement patching, asphalt overlay, and related work.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in late 2024/early 2025, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that may impact construction timelines.
Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place. Traffic will be detoured via LA 15, LA 135 and LA 132.
Restrictions/Permits: Total bridge closure at the specified location. All traffic will need to detour.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
