Belle Chasse Bridge & Tunnel Project: LA 23 Traffic Shift Through Barriere Road

Belle Chasse - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that between Monday, February 27, 2023, and Friday, March 17, 2023, there will be a traffic switch and intermittent lane closures on LA 23 in the northbound and southbound directions between the Belle Chasse bridge/tunnel and Barriere Rd. Motorists traveling between the bridge/tunnel and Barriere Rd. will be shifted onto the newly constructed LA 23 detour roads.
Intermittent lane closures will take place during these dates; 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays. All work is weather permitting.
