NOW OPEN: LA 577 near Darnell in West Carroll Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 577 NEAR DARNELL HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Wednesday, February, 22, 2023, LA 577 will be closed to thru traffic.
This bridge is located approximately 4 miles west of its intersection with LA 17, near Darnell, in West Carroll Parish.
This bridge closure is necessary to allow for routine bridge maintenance.
The LA 577 bridge closure is anticipated to last 3 days, and should be reopened Friday, February 24, 2023.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Permit/Detour:
The detour route will be LA 585, LA 2, LA 17, and LA 577.
