NOW OPEN: LA 838 near Cheniere in Ouachita Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 838 NEAR CHENIERE HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, LA 838 in Ouachita Parish is CLOSED.
This bridge is located approximately 3.0 miles west of its intersection with LA 3033 in Ouachita Parish.
The LA 838 bridge closure is anticipated to last 4 days, and should be reopened Monday, February 6, 2023.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Permit/Detour:
The detour route will be LA 838, LA 546, I-20, and LA 617.
