LA 73 East Baton Rouge Parish Nightly Utility Work

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that we will have an outside lane closure in the eastbound direction of LA 73 (Jefferson Hwy) beginning Tuesday, December 20,2022 and ending on Friday, December 30,2022. These closures will be located from the intersections of Essen Ln to San Felipe Dr. from 8:00 PM – 5:00AM, Monday through Friday. During these closures, one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
No closures will be allowed and all lanes will be open during the holiday period of December 23 – 27, 2022.
These closure are necessary for the maintenance of the utility power poles located along the roadway.
These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
