NOW OPEN: LA 838 near Cheniere in Ouachita Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 838 NEAR CHENIERE HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Saturday, October, 22, 2022, LA 838 will be closed to thru traffic.
This bridge is located approximately 4.3 miles east of its intersection with LA 546 in Ouachita Parish.
This road closure is necessary to allow for routine bridge maintenance.
The LA 838 road closure is anticipated to last 2 days, and should be reopened Sunday, October 23, 2022.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
