I-12 Eastbound and Westbound [Ramps at LA 59] – Partial Road Closure – Project #: H.011152 – St. Tammany Parish
On Friday, October 7, 2022 and on Monday, October 10, 2022, there will be nightly alternating single lane closures on I-12 Eastbound and Westbound between US 190 (MM 63) and LA 59 (MM 66). These closures will be from the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM nightly, weather permitting. This is for crews to perform road construction operations.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
There will be no vehicle restrictions and emergency vehicles will have access on I-12. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.
There will also be FULL RAMP CLOSURES at LA 59 as follows:
· On Friday, October 7, 2022 and on Monday, October 10, 2022, there will be full ramp closures on the I-12 Eastbound off-ramp at LA 59 (Exit 65 - Abita Springs/Mandeville).
· On Monday, October 10, 2022, there will be a full ramp closure on the I-12 Westbound on-ramp at LA 59.
All full ramp closures will take place between the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting. These full ramp closures are for crews to perform road construction operations.
Motorists and emergency vehicles will NOT have ramp access to the above listed ramps during these days/hours.
Detour Section
Motorists traveling on I-12 EB wishing to exit at LA 59 (Exit 65 - Abita Springs/Mandeville) may continue East on I-12, exit at LA 1088 (Exit 68 - Mandeville), and transition from LA 1088 to LA 59.
Motorists traveling on LA 59 wishing to enter I-12 WB may take I-12 EB to LA 1088 (Exit 68 - Mandeville), travel north on LA 1088, and follow signs for I-12 West (Hammond).
