The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, construction will begin on I-49 and US 165 in Rapides Parish. This work on I-49 will begin after I-49 AND US 167 INTERCHANGE and proceed north to I-49 AND US 71/165 INTERCHANGE. The work on US 165 will occur approximately 0.95 miles south of the intersection between US 165 (Monroe Highway) and US 167 (Pineville Expressway).
The intent of this project is to rehabilitate debonded concrete girder cracking in existing bridges along I-49 and US 165.
The public is advised to remain alert to construction signs and changing roadway conditions.
This contract was let on June 30, 2022 and awarded to Composite Rehabilitation Technology, LLC for a contract amount of $330,696.20. This contract allows 45 calendar days to complete the above mentioned work.

Thru traffic will be maintained at this time.
