UPDATE - REOPENED: US 167 South Pineville Expressway, Rapides Parish
(UPDATE 8/7/2022): All lanes of US 167 southbound in Pineville, Rapides Parish have been reopened. Please travel safely.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that US 167 south at I-49 on the Pineville Expressway in Rapides Parish is currently CLOSED due to an incident involving a vehicle fire.
Law enforcement officials are directing traffic off onto Melrose Street. The roadway will remain closed while an investigation is conducted by law enforcement.
Alternate route: Law enforcement diverting traffic.
Restrictions/Permits: All lanes of southbound travel closed.
