I-49 Exit 56 NB Exit Ramp
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that the I-49 northbound exit ramp located at Exit 56 is open to all traveling public.

**EMERGENCY CLOSURE**
I-49 Exit 56 NB Exit Ramp
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that today, August 2, 2022, the I-49 northbound exit ramp located at Exit 56 will be closed due to an accident. The closure will remain until investigative personnel have finished their analysis and local forces are able to able to clear the roadway.
Permit/Detour section
There are no detours at this time associated with this closures.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
