NOW OPEN: LA 561 near Hebert in Richland Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 561 NEAR HEBERT HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, August, 2, 2022, LA 561 will be closed to thru traffic approximately 4 miles north of its intersection with LA 848 in Richland Parish. This road closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of drainage culverts.
The LA 561 road closure is anticipated to last 10 days, and should be reopened Friday, August 12, 2022.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.

Detour: The detour route will be LA 133, LA 132, and LA 561.
