UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 527 bridge over Flat River, Bossier Parish


(UPDATE 8/15/2022): The LA 527 bridge in south Bossier Parish has been reopened. We appreciate your patience.

(Original notification):

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises the public that beginning on Monday, August 1, 2022, the LA 527 bridge over Flat River in south Bossier Parish will be closed.

This closure is scheduled to last one week, and is necessary to allow crews to perform repairs to the bridge pilings.

This bridge is located just east of the intersection with US 71 near Taylortown.

Alternate Route: US 71 to LA 154 to LA 527

Permits/Restrictions: Total bridge closure. All vehicles will need to detour.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
