UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 511 (W. 70th Street) near Kennedy Drive, Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 7/6/2022): DOTD advises motorists that LA 511 (W. 70th Street) is back OPEN to traffic.
We appreciate your patience and urge you to please travel with caution through the area as this is still an active construction project.

(Original notification 6/22/2022):
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, LA 511 (W. 70th Street) between Kennedy Drive and Walker Road in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be closed.
This closure is scheduled to last until Tuesday, July 12, 2022, and is necessary to allow the contractor to replace a cross drain.
This is part of a project to improve safety on LA 511 through the construction of turn lanes near this location.
Alternate Route: Total road closure. All vehicles will need to detour. Signage will be in place.
Permits/Restrictions: Total road closure.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
