The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that on Wednesday, June 6, 2022 at approximately 7:00 am, construction project H.011598.6 will begin on LA 8 in Rapides Parish. The project begins at the LA 119 intersection and proceeds easterly to its intersection with LA 1. The project will consist of drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, in-place cement treated base course, in-place treated subgrade, asphalt concrete pavement and related work. The project should be complete by 5:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2022. The contractor is given 145 work days as per the contract to have the project ready for acceptance.

No detours or load restrictions will be needed, as one lane will be open at all times.
