Bridge Closure – Pecan Island Road over the Chenal – Pointe Coupee Parish – H.010724.6

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the Pecan Island Road Bridge over the Chenal in Pointe Coupee Parish will be closed begining Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 9:00am, for work to begin on the bridge replacement project.
A detour route has been constructed for residents and local traffic only to access Pecan Island while crews remove and replace the existing bridge. The estimated completion for the project is February 2023.
