UPDATE: LA 23 lane closures as work begins on Algiers Outfall Canal Bridge

BELLE CHASSE, La. — Beginning Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. until Friday, May 13, 2022 at 5:00 a.m., expect alternating lane closures on LA 23 (Belle Chasse Highway) between Timber Ridge Drive and X Street.
During this time, crews will work on the Algiers Outfall Canal Bridge; widen lanes, install barriers, and demolish the existing bridge rail and deck.
This project is in preparation for the new Belle Chasse Bridge.
