Alternating lane closures planned along LA 23

BELLE CHASSE, La. — Alternating lane closures will begin on Monday, April 11, 2022 along LA 23 (Belle Chasse Highway) through Friday, May 13, 2022; weather permitting.
The alternating closures will occur between Timber Ridge Drive and X Street as well as between Engineers Road and West X Street.
During this time, crews will install paving to widen the shoulder to provide a detour and pave the median.
The widening project is in preparation for the new Belle Chasse Bridge.
Alternating lane closure times:
Monday –Thursday: 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Friday: 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. Saturday
Saturday: 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. Sunday
Sunday: 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. Monday
