Construction is ongoing for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95. These intermittent lane closures are necessary in order for signal crews to install signal loop detection at the following intersections: LA 44/LA 933, LA 44/Causey Rd./Merritt Evans Rd., LA 44/LA 931, LA 44/LA 621, LA 44/LA 935
