UPDATE: NOW OPEN - LA 442, 0.3 miles west of Stafford Road in Tangipahoa Parish.
=========================================================================== Original Notification: Road or Lane Status EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 442, Located 0.3 miles west of Stafford Rd. - TANGIPAHOA PARISH
EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 442 will be closed in both directions at a location approximately 0.3 miles west of Stafford Rd. beginning Saturday, September 18, 2021 through Friday, September 24, 2021 (weather permitting) while maintenance crews replace a cross drain. This notice will be updated as conditions change.
Suggested Detour:
Motorists may take the following detour to avoid the road closure:
Motorists traveling LA 442 east may take LA 1063 north to US 51, then south to re-intersect LA 442.
Motorists traveling LA 442 west may take US 51 north to LA 1063, then south to re-intersect LA 442.
