***UPDATE***Cameron Ferry REOPENS - Cameron Parish
The Louisiana DOTD announces that the Cameron Ferry has reopened. All updates are complete.
Previous Notification:
UPDATE: The Cameron Ferry will be out of service on Thursday, September 16, 2021, beginning at 8:00 AM. The ferry will resume service as soon as the updates are complete (exact time unknown), but no later than 3:00 PM.
Original Notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the Cameron Ferry will be out of service on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, beginning at 8:00 AM. The closure is necessary to update the main engine’s software.
The ferry will resume service as soon as the updates are complete (exact time unknown), but no later than 3:00 PM.
