REOPENED - LA 442, Located West of the LA 443 and LA 40 Intersection - TANGIPAHOA PARISH

LA 442 will be closed in both directions at a location approximately 90 feet west of the LA 443 and LA 40 intersection beginning Monday, August 2, 2021 through Friday, August 6, 2021 (weather permitting) while maintenance crews replace a cross drain. This notice will be updated as conditions change.
Suggested Detour:
Motorists may take the following detour to avoid the road closure:
Motorists traveling east may take LA 1065 south to LA 1064, then east to LA 443, then north to re-intersect LA 442.
Motorists traveling west may take LA 443 south to LA 1064, then west to LA 1065, then north to re-intersect LA 442.

DOTD reminds motorists to stay alert to hazardous conditions, drive only when necessary, and drive with caution.
