NOW OPEN: LA 581 near Transylvania in East Carroll Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 581 NEAR TRANSYLVANIA HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, LA 581 in East Carroll Parish, near Transylvania, LA will be closed at a location 2.7 miles east of LA 134 to replace a culvert under the roadway.
The road closure is anticipated to last one week.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Permit/Detour
The detour route will be LA 881, LA 134, and LA 581.
