DOTD announces a project to install a southbound right-turn lane on LA 378 at Phillips Road in Calcasieu Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces a project to install a southbound right-turn lane on LA 378 (Davis Road) at Philips Road in Calcasieu Parish.
The project, which costs more than $400 thousand, will construct the new turn lane at the intersection of Davis Road and Philips Road to alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow at the signalized intersection.
The contractor, John Baily, Inc., is expected to begin construction on January 4, 2021. Lane closures utilizing a flagging operation will be occur between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. as needed. DOTD will issue lane closures announcements through MyDOTD. The entire project is estimated to be complete in summer 2021.
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
