EXTENDED I-10 WB Entrance Ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge), St. Martin Parish, Ramp Closure

UPDATE: This closure has been extended to include the following dates:
• Tuesday, December 22 at 12:00 a.m. until Tuesday, December 22 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
• Wednesday, December 23 at 12:00 a.m. until Wednesday, December 23 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.


The I-10 westbound entrance ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge) will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting:

• Friday, December 18 at 12:00 a.m. until Friday, December 18 at 6:00 a.m.,
• Saturday, December 19 at 12:00 a.m. until Saturday, December 19 at 6:00 a.m.
• Sunday, December 20 at 12:00 a.m. until Sunday, December 20 at 6:00 a.m..
• Monday, December 21 at 12:00 a.m. until Monday, December 21 at 6:00 a.m..

This closure is necessary to allow crews to construct the inside shoulder of the ramp.

The detour for westbound traffic is I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 (Henderson) then back onto I-10 westbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in March 2021.
