ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning November 17, 2020, a raised pavement marker replacement project will begin on Interstate 10 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge).

The project will replace raised pavement markers from mile marker 117 (Westside of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge) to mile marker 126.4 (Saint Martin Parish Line).

The $160, 500 project will include the removal and replacement of raised pavement markers in both the east and west bound travel lanes of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

Work is estimated to take place Sunday through Thursday from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning, as well as Friday and Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following morning, weather permitting.

Construction work will be performed using a slow moving operation in one travel lane at a time, which may cause drivers to encounter delays.

There will be a 12-foot vehicle width restriction during work hours. Emergency vehicles will have access to this area, but may encounter delays.

The project is estimated for completion in December 2020.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with extreme caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
