LA 106 Avoyelles Parish S.P. No. H.009497 Control Section: 204-04
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, the Bayou Boeuf Bridge located on LA 106 will be closed. The closure is needed for bridge replacement. Construction is expected to be completed by October 21, 2021.
This contract was awarded to TL Hawk Construction Company in the amount of $2,006,291.25.
Permit/Detour Section The roadway will be close to traffic for the duration of the bridge construction. The detour will be as follows:
East bound traffic will travel to I-49 and proceed North on I-49 to Exit 53, LA 115, travel North on LA 115 to the intersection of LA 1176, proceed East along LA 1176 to the intersection of LA 29, proceed South to the intersection of LA 106.
West bound traffic will travel to the intersection of LA 29 and proceed North on LA 29 to the intersection of LA 1176 proceed West on LA 1176 to the intersection of LA 115, travel South on LA 115 to I-49, then travel South on I-49 to Exit 46, LA 106.
The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
