EXTENDED - US 167 (Johnston Street) NB & SB from West/East Broussard Rd. to Duhon Rd./South City Pkwy., Lafayette Parish, Alternating Lane Closures

UPDATE#3: The lane shift has been extended until Sunday, February 28, 2021, weather permitting.

UPDATE #2: The lane shift has been extended until December 14, due to the outside shoulder work not being completed as scheduled.
UPDATE #1: These closures have been RESCHEDULED to begin on Thursday, September 17 until Friday, September 18, weather permitting.

The northbound left lanes of US 167 (Johnston Street) from approximately LA 733 (West/East Broussard Road) to approximately LA 724 (Duhon Road/South City Parkway) will have alternating lane closures on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. until Wednesday, September 16 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Additionally, the southbound lanes of US 167 (Johnston Street) from approximately LA 733 (West/East Broussard Road) to approximately LA 724 (Duhon Road/South City Parkway) will have alternating lane closures on Tuesday, September 15 at 9:30 p.m. until Wednesday, September 16 at 8:30 a.m. for the southbound lanes, weather permitting.

The two (2) lanes in both directions will be temporarily narrowed from 12-foot lanes to 10-foot lanes.

These closure are necessary to allow construction crews to install temporary striping. The lane shift is necessary to allow crews to perform the outside shoulder construction, which will take place through November 30, weather permitting. This work is part of the US 167: Access Management (Left Turn Lanes) Project.

Emergency vehicles will have access to these areas.
