NOW OPEN: LA 589 near Redwing in West Carroll Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 589 NEAR REDWING REOPENED TO THRU TRAFFIC.*****
ROAD CLOSURE
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, August 3, 2020, LA 589 in West Carroll Parish near Redwing, LA will be closed at a location 0.45 miles west of LA 597 to replace a culvert under the roadway.
The road closure is anticipated to last for two weeks.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Permit/Detour
The detour route will be LA 589, LA 582, LA 2, and LA 597.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
