The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 470, Lecompte, Rapides Parish, will be closed at Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. The work will be done at Milepost 0.000 and is on Control Section 840-05. The closure will be on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM with a reopen at 7:00 PM. The closure is for Union Pacific to replace the approaches at the crossing.
The Roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 470 South to US 71 North to LA 470 South. The detour can accept oversized loads and will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the Road Closure.
