**Horseshoe Drive Roadway Improvements (Alexandria) -
Pavement Patching, Pavement Widening, Milling and Asphalt Concrete Overlay

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday, May 18, 2020 at 7:00 am, weather permitting, Horseshoe Drive in Alexandria (from the Junction with Jackson Street to its intersection with South MacArthur Drive Service Road) will have daytime lane closures to allow for construction work. This work will consist of Milling Asphalt Pavement, Pavement Patching, Pavement Widening, Asphalt Concrete Overlay, and Related Work. The lane closures can be expected to last until the end of July 2020. It is recommended that motorist use the alternate route of their choice, to avoid delays.

There are no detours at this time associated with these lane closures.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
