UPDATE REOPENED: Emergency Road Closure / LA 878 / West Carroll Parish

UPDATE: LA 878, at the location described below, has been reopened to traffic.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE
Effective immediately, LA 878 in West Carroll Parish will be closed at a location 0.25 miles north of the intersection of LA 878 and LA 2 near Oak Grove, LA. This closure is required due to a failure in the roadway adjacent to the bridge over Little Colewa Bayou. This closure will remain in effect until the damages to the roadway can be fully investigated and all necessary repairs are completed.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
PERMIT/DETOUR
The detour route will be LA 2 and LA 587.
