LA 42 Widening and Improvements, Lane Shift, Ascension Parish

Due to weather forecasts, the below traffic swap will occur on February 4th.
Construction has begun for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises that motorists will be shifted to the newly constructed outside eastbound and westbound lanes from Muddy Creek channel over the newly constructed 11x11 boxes to Woodhaven Drive. The transition will take place February 4, 2020 February 5, 2020. This will allow the contractor to begin removing the existing roadway in the center of LA 42. Motorists will not be allowed to make U-turns during the swap.
No permit or oversize loads greater than 10’ feet wide will be able to pass.
