The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 1177 Bunkie, Rapides Parish, is NOW OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC.

Statewide 511 Traffic Information

LA 1177; Rapides Parish
Milepost 0.840; Control Section 840-18
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 1177 Bunkie, Rapides Parish, will be closed from US 71 to the Avoyelles/Rapides Parish Line at the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. The work will be done at Milepost 0.840 and is on Control Section 840-18. The closure will be on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM. The closure is for Union Pacific to replace the track panel and crossing surface thru the crossing.
Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be US 71 South to LA 1177 West to the Rapides/Avoyelles Parish Line. The detour can accept oversized loads and will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
