The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that the LA 8 Bridge over the Red River will undergo an In-Depth Bridge Inspection from Friday, December 6, 2019 through Saturday, December 14, 2019. One lane closure will be in effect for LA 8 with flaggers from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day. Also, on Sunday, December 8, 2019 one lane each direction will be closed on LA 1 below the structure to allow for the inspection of the approach span. Also, the levee access roads on both the south side and north side of the river will be closed with restricted access from Saturday, December 7, 2019 through Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day. The bridge inspection is part of normal processes required to insure the continued safe operation of the region’s transportation facilities.
Permit/Detour Section
No detour will be needed.
Bridge will be reduced to one 12’ lane. Please no wide loads.
