The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, on Monday, April 8th, 2019, road construction work will begin on LA 1188 between LA 115 and LA 114.
This 2.606 mile long road construction project will consists of cross drains, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
This contract was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Company, L.L.C in the amount of $1,361,750.09.
Permit/Detour Section
No wide loads will be allowed beginning April 8th, 2019. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times; however, there will be lane closures.
Safety Reminder
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
