The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that all components on the gates at Iatt Lake have been replaced and are functioning properly. The gates will be closed at 5:00 pm today. The time to re-fill the lake will be dependent upon rainfall.

Public Notice 5-8-2018
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the water level in Iatt Lake will be lowered for a short period of time beginning on May 31, 2018 in order to complete the necessary rehabilitation of the spillway management gates.
The water level will be lowered to a point approximately 9’ below pool stage in order to access the management gates. It will take several weeks to lower the water to the desired level, and the work is anticipated to be completed within two weeks of achieving the proposed lowered water level. Immediately upon completion of the work, the gates will be closed and the lake allowed to re-fill. The time to re-fill the lake will be dependent upon rainfall after the gates are closed.
