UPDATE:
LA 590 in Morehouse Parish has been reopened to traffic. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for areas where high water may be present.

ROAD CLOSURE
Effective immediately, LA 590 in Morehouse Parish will be closed at a location 1 mile west of the intersection of LA 590 and LA 591. This closure is required due to rising flood waters overtopping the roadway. Once flood waters recede, the roadway will be assessed and will be reopened when deemed safe for traffic.
PERMIT/DETOUR
The detour route will be LA 591, LA 140, and US 425.
