The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 623 from north of its junction with Germaine St. to north of Flagon Bayou Bridge IS OPEN to all traffic.
This 0.246 mile long road reconstruction project consisted of Clearing and Grubbing, Removal of Concrete Precast Slab Unit Bridge, Grading, Class II Base Course, Drainage Structures, Lime Treatment, Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Precast Concrete Piles, Concrete Slab Span Bridge, and related work.
This contract was awarded to the low bidder, Gilchrist Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $1,954,142.55.

The roadway is open to all traffic.
