Progress of Construction on LA 447 Roundabout:
Starting Wednesday, August 2, 2017 a single lane of traffic will be placed onto the new South Roundabout at the LA 447/I-12 Interchange.
This new single lane configuration will be used for the next phase of construction while crews continue to perform work on the roundabout. Once completed, the new roundabout permanent striping will provide for two travel lanes.
To avoid the construction zone, motorists may use US 190 to LA 1026 (Juban Road) to I-12 as an alternate route.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
