**4th UPDATE**
There will be a nightly left (inside) lane closure on I-10 Eastbound at the Middle Pearl River Bridge (Milepost 272.84 to Milepost 273.20) beginning on Monday, August 29, 2016 through Thursday, September 1, 2016 (weather permitting) while crews drive piles and repair the bridge deck. See table below for times of closures:
Monday thru Thursday: From 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily
Friday From 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily
No work will be performed during Labor Day weekend.
Permit/Detour Section
To avoid construction delays, Eastbound motorists may take US 190 B (Exit #265 – Fremaux Ave.), to US 90 (Chef Menteur Hwy.), east on US 90 to MS 607, north on MS 607 to I-10.
Motorists wanting to utilize US 90 as a detour should be aware that there are load restrictions on the Pearl River Bridges.
One lane of traffic will be open at all times. Emergency vehicles will have access. By law, oversize loads are not allowed to travel at night.
