BRIDGE CLOSURE: Charles Rawls Road Bridge over Prairion Bayou in Ouachita Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, March 9, 2026, Charles Rawls Road will be closed approximately 0.7 miles South of Red Cut Loop Road, in Ouachita Parish.

The purpose of this bridge closure is to replace the Charles Rawls Road Bridge over Prairion Bayou. The bridge, which is owned and maintained by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury, is expected to reopen in early 2027.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

PERMIT/DETOUR:
The detour route will be posted by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury.
